What Maidthorn does with the information you send us, and what you can ask of us.

This notice explains what Maidthorn Limited does with personal information collected through this website. It applies to maidthorn.com and to enquiries sent through it.

Who we are

Maidthorn Limited is the data controller. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 06709944, with our registered office at Oury Clark, 10 John Street, London WC1N 2EB, and we trade from 33 Broadwick Street, London W1F 0DQ.

For anything in this notice, including a request about your own information, write to [email protected].

What we collect

Only what you type into the contact form: your name, your email address, your company or organisation, what your enquiry is about, and your message. The company and the subject are optional.

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind. We do not record your IP address or build any profile of your visit.

Why we use it, and on what basis

We use it to read your enquiry and reply to it, and to keep a record of the conversation. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: you have written to us expecting an answer, and responding is what we both intend.

Who sees it

Your enquiry is emailed to us and stored on this website so we can manage it. Three suppliers handle it on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions:

  • Laravel Cloud, which hosts the website and its database.
  • Cloudflare, which sits in front of the website to serve it quickly and safely, and stores the images and video it uses.
  • AuthSMTP, which delivers the email of your enquiry to us.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for marketing.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted. A copy also appears in the website's logs, which are deleted automatically after 90 days. If a conversation turns into something ongoing, the records that follow from it are kept under whatever arrangement we agree with you.

Cookies

This website sets two cookies, both of which are necessary for it to work: one that keeps track of your visit, and one that protects the contact form from being submitted by another site on your behalf. They expire after two hours. We set no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, so there is nothing here for you to consent to or turn off.

Where your information is held

Our suppliers may process it outside the UK. Where they do, that transfer is covered by the safeguards UK data protection law requires, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, ask us to restrict what we do with it, and object to our using it. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we use personal information we will update this page. This version was published in October 2026.
